2018 Roster Revealed

On Tuesday the Texas Rangers announced the 2018 Down East Wood Ducks Opening Day roster. It features nine returners from the 2017 Carolina League Co-Champion team and 17 newcomers to Kinston.
2018 manager Spike Owen and hitting coach Kenny Hook bring 14 of their Hickory Crawdads from 2017 to the Advanced-A level this season. Stephen Mintz returns to Grainger Stadium as the pitching coach and Carlos Maldonado joins the staff as an assistant from Frisco.
The roster breakdown includes ten right-handed pitchers, four left-handed pitchers, five infielders, four outfielders, and three catchers. You can find the full roster below and a link to the PDF to download.
Your first chance to see the Woodies play at home is an exhibition against the University of Mount Olive on Monday, April 2nd. As for the home opener of the regular season, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans come to town on Thursday, April 12th. Click the links to buy tickets today.
