ABERDEEN, MD - Lowell snapped the IronBirds' seven game win streak by scoring four runs in the sixth inning and shutting Aberdeen down the rest of the game.
STRONG START: Zac Lowther started the game for the IronBirds and went 3.0 scoreless innings with five strikeouts. He allowed five hits but got out of jams in the first and third to keep the Spinners off the board.
Aberdeen started the scoring with an RBI single from Luke Ringhofer that scored Tristan Graham in the second inning. They doubled their score in the fourth on an RBI double from Garrett Copeland that made it 2-0. 
SPINNERS GET SPINNING: Hector Guance took over for Aberdeen in the fourth inning. Lowell started scoring in the fifth on a wild pitch. Ryan Ripken knocked in a run for the IronBirds making it 3-1 after five.
The sixth inning was all Spinners as they scored another four runs off of Guance. Jordan Wren, Michael Osinski and Brett Netzer (2) all picked up RBIs.
After that the Spinner pitchers dominated. Aberdeen made it interesting by loading the bases in the ninth but Jaylen Ferguson struck out and ended the ball game.
'BIRD WATCHING: Aberdeen's seven game win streak ties a franchise record but came to an end. They are now 4-2 at Ripken Stadium. Jaylen Ferguson extended his hit streak to seven games. Ben Breazeale and Ryan Ripken also kept their streaks alive and have hit safely in five games in a row.
UP NEXT: Tomorrow night the series against Lowell will conclude. First pitch at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium is 7:05 p.m.
