The El Paso Chihuahuas scored 10 runs in the first three innings Saturday and beat the Albuquerque Isotopes 13-3. The Chihuahuas have won four straight games, eight of their last 11 games and four straight series.

El Paso second baseman C.J. Abrams went 5-for-6 with four singles, a home run and three RBIs. Abrams had an at-bat in the eighth inning with a chance for the Chihuahuas’ first six-hit game by an individual player, but he grounded out to the pitcher. It was El Paso’s first five-hit game since Ty France and Aderlin Rodriguez on July 25, 2019 at Las Vegas.

Chihuahuas starter Aaron Leasher allowed three earned runs in 5.1 innings to get the win. El Paso’s 18 hits Saturday tied the club’s season high. The first seven Chihuahuas batters of the game all reached base. Designated hitter Robinson Canó went 1-for-5 with an RBI single in his first game with the Chihuahuas.
