MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (June 8, 2018) - Aramis Ademan tied the game with a three-run home run for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans in the eighth inning on Friday night before the Birds walked it off on an error in the 10th inning 5-4 over the Salem Red Sox from TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. The win was the seventh straight for the Pelicans and their 13th in their last 15 contests.
Trailing 4-0 entering the eighth, the Pelicans (31-29) rattled three straight hits to load the bases. A wild-pitch brought home Connor Myers to put the Pelicans on the board before Ademan blasted his second home run in as many days to tie the game at four.

In the 10th, with Luis Ayala starting the inning at second, a bunt single by Andruw Monasterio coupled with a Salem error allowed Ayala to round third and end the game.
The Red Sox (28-29) struck first in the top of the third inning with two runs. Ryan Scott doubled home Trenton Kemp to draw first blood. Scott then scored on a Chris Madera sacrifice fly to make it 2-0 Salem.
In the fourth, the Sox scored again on a Bobby Dalbec sacrifice fly. Scott blasted a fifth-inning solo homer to make it 4-0.
Keegan Thompson tossed a career-high seven innings, giving up four runs on five hits while striking out three and walking one in a no-decision.
Jhon Romero (1-0) fired a scoreless inning to earn his first win on the season while Taylor Ahearn (0-1) was handed the loss despite allowing an unearned run and throwing just two pitches in the 10th.
