LAKELAND, FL – For the fourth straight season, the Phillies first-round draft will make their full-season debut with the Clearwater Threshers. After hitting over .400 in ten games in the Florida Complex League, Aidan Miller was called up to the Clearwater Threshers on Thursday, August 24th. Miller was the 27th overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft out of J.W. Mitchell High School in Trinity, Florida, becoming the fourth High School player in a row to be drafted by the Phillies in the first round of the draft. He missed his senior season with an injury but finished high school with a .385 career batting average. In his two full seasons of high school ball, he averaged over .400 with seven home runs and 38 RBIs according to MaxPreps.

Miller signed with the Phillies on July 18th and debuted in the Florida Complex League nine days later. He made an instant impact in the FCL, going 3-4 with two doubles and an RBI in his professional debut against the FCL Tigers. He slashed .414/.528/.483 with more walks than strikeouts in ten games in the FCL, leading the team in average over the homestretch of the FCL season. Like his FCL debut, he will make his full-season debut against a Detroit Tigers Affiliate, starting at shortstop and batting second against the Lakeland Flying Tigers.

You can see Aidan Miller and the Threshers when they return home for their final regular season homestand against the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels from Tuesday, August 30th through Sunday, September 3rd...
