Nick Allen, on the first pitch he saw, sent a sac fly to shallow right field and pinch runner Skyler Weber was safe at home giving the Beloit Snappers (17-20) a 4-3 walk-off win over the Quad Cities River Bandits (23-18).

The Snappers held a 2-0 lead into the seventh inning, but the River Bandits stormed back in the top of the eighth. Michael Papierski walked with the bases loaded, Miguelangel Sierra hit an RBI single and Colton Shaver hit a sac fly to go ahead 3-2.
Jordan Devencenzi doubled home Hunter Hargrove in the Snappers half of the eighth, his sixth double of the season. That score would stand until the 11th.
Hunter Hargrove singled in the sixth inning, extending his hitting streak to 14 games. It's the longest hit streak on the team thus far this season.
Snappers starter Xavier Altamirano tied his season-high going seven scoreless innings, allowing just two hits. Right-hander Nick Highberger gave up his first earned runs of the season when he allowed the three runs in the eighth. He had previously went 8.2 innings without surrendering an earned run.
Jesus Zambrano set a season-high with five strikeouts in 3.2 innings pitched after Highberger, earning the win and allowing just one hit. For Zambrano he notched his team-leading fourth victory of the season.
It was also a big night for Snapper's Trace Loehr who went 2-for-2 and drew three walks. In his previous nine games before Saturday, he was batting .097 and just 5-for-31.
The Snappers also pushed their extra-base hitting streak to 24 games with Lopez' double. During the streak, they have hit 45 doubles, six triples and 11 homeruns.
In his 12th game in the leadoff spot, McDonald got two hits and notched his 11th multi-hit game of the season. Lazaro Armenteros was held hitless, just his fourth game this season without a hit.
The Snappers moved to 4-2 overall in extra-inning games, and a perfect 4-0 at home.
The Snappers will wrap up the series tomorrow afternoon starting at 2:00 p.m. Bryce Connelly (1-2 5.46) will get the nod for Beloit and he will be opposed by Tyler Ivey (1-3, 3.98).
