Fort Myers held to two hits in series finale, teams split two games

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - After a 58-minute rain delay, Chris Archer tossed four no-hit innings in a rehab start to help the Charlotte Stone Crabs edge the Fort Myers Miracle, 1-0, Tuesday night at Charlotte Sports Park.
The right-hander walked one and struck out seven. He retired the last 10 batters he faced.
Blake Bivens relieved Archer and pitched the final five innings for Charlotte. He surrendered two hits.
The Stone Crabs plated the game's only run in the fifth. Miles Mastrobuoni reached on an error and scored on a Josh Lowe two-out double.  
Fort Myers was held without a hit until the seventh inning when Alex Kirilloff dunked a one-out single into center.
Clark Beeker (3-6) suffered the loss despite allowing only one unearned run in 5.1 innings. The right-hander yielded four hits.
Alex Robinson (two innings) and Tom Hackimer (0.2 innings) combined to throw 2.2 scoreless innings of relief.
The Miracle open a brief two-game series Wednesday night in Fort Myers against the Dunedin Blue Jays, Class-A Advanced affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. First pitch is slated for 7:00 p.m.
