FREDERICK, MD - The Frederick Keys are proud to announce that Geoff Arnold will join the Baltimore Orioles Broadcast Team this upcoming season. Arnold, who spent the last five seasons as the Keys lead broadcaster and Public Relations Manager, will serve a variety of roles for the Orioles broadcast team and appear across multiple platforms to highlight the club's emerging prospects. Arnold joins Matt Hicks, the voice of the Texas Rangers, as the second Keys broadcaster to reach the Major Leagues. In addition, Bob Socci, who has been the lead broadcaster for the New England Patriots since 2013, broadcasted games for Frederick early in his career.

"I'm humbled and incredibly excited to join the Orioles broadcast team," said Arnold. "The DMV has become home for me and to be able to continue my career with an organization I've loved being a part of is such an unbelievable feeling. Thanks so much to the Orioles for giving me this opportunity as well as to Dave Ziedelis for bringing me to Frederick. Without him taking a chance on me in 2014, I'm not sure this opportunity becomes a reality. I'm so grateful to him and the rest of the Keys organization for helping me grow as a broadcaster and as a person and for all the great managers, coaches, coordinators and support staff who helped prepare me for this next chapter."
During his tenure in Frederick, Arnold worked closely with the Orioles and local media to highlight Keys players. Last year, he worked with MASN and contributed features on Orioles minor league players to the Orioles Xtra Pregame Show.
Arnold was an important fixture in the Keys marketing department throughout his time in Frederick. He implemented digital strategies including a video and podcasting series, created the Speakers Bureau to reach out to the local community, and brought in celebrity guests including Christopher "Shooter McGavin" McDonald and Leslie David Baker.
After graduating Dickinson College in 2010, Arnold first pursued a career as an umpire before jumping into the broadcast booth with the Frisco RoughRiders and Wilmington Blue Rocks. In addition to his work in baseball, the Pennsylvania native calls events for the ACC Network, ESPN3 and ESPN+ as well as George Washington men's and women's basketball and the Delaware Blue Coats, NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Keys season begins on Thursday, April 9. A link to the entire schedule for the Keys 2020 season is available here and fireworks shows are scheduled for Friday and Saturday night home games and other select days during the season. Ticket plans are currently available, with plans including the choice of a John Means bobblehead or a Keys pennant. The Frederick Keys are the Advanced-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, and play their home games at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium.
