Asheville Swept in Critical Double-Header

ASHEVILLE- In what was supposed to be a big night of baseball for the Asheville Tourists turned into wins seven and eight in a row for the visiting Lexington Legends. Asheville dropped both games of Wednesday night's double-header; 5-1 in game one and 2-1 in game two.
Both of Asheville's runs on the night came on solo Home Runs.
The Legends took a 3-1 lead into the top of the seventh of the first game before plating a pair of insurance runs to salt away the game. The Tourists sent only two batters over the minimum to the plate when it was said and done.
In game two, Bouchard's solo shot gave Asheville a 1-0 lead; however, in the top of the fourth the Legends scored an unearned run on a two-out fielding error that tied the game. Lexington received an RBI triple from
Asheville finished the second game with only three hits.
The Tourists have now dropped seven of their last eight home contests and sport a 15-15 second half record. Asheville will look to avoid a sweep with Thursday's series finale scheduled for 7:05pm.
