MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (August 27, 2018) - The Buies Creek Astros erased a 2-0 deficit on Monday to down the Myrtle Beach Pelicans 3-2 in 10 innings from TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. 
With the game tied at 2-2 in the top of the 10th inning, the Astros (76-55, 38-23) took the lead on a run charged to Pelicans (59-74, 25-38) pitcher Garrett Kelly (2-1). Buies Creek's Jacob Meyers lined a sacrifice fly to left that plated Cody Bohanek, making it 3-2. 

Cristian Javier (5-4) threw five scoreless innings to earn the win, striking out seven. 
The Pelicans drew first blood in the second inning. A Christian Donahue single coupled with a Buies Creek error plated Jared Young . Donahue then scored on a Zach Davis sacrifice fly to make it 2-0.
Buies Creek found the scoreboard in the top of the third inning when Bohanek smacked a solo home run, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
The Astros tied the game when Bryan De La Cruz came across on a wild pitch in the sixth. 
Aramis Ademan went 2-for-5 for the Pelicans with a double in the loss. 
The Pelicans and Astros meet for the second game of the four-game series at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday. Myrtle Beach will send RHP Tyson Miller (9-8, 3.63 ERA) to the mound against Buies Creek RHP Carson LaRue (7-7, 4.27 ERA).
