PawSox RF Jeremy Barfield belted a solo homer with two outs in the bottom of the 9th-inning to give the Pawtucket Red Sox a 2-1, walk-off victory over the Durham Bulls (AAA-Tampa Bay) on Friday in Fort Myers, FL. Barfield, who slugged 28 HR last year (27 during an All-Star season for Portland and then 1 more after a late promotion to Pawtucket), is the son of former Toronto and New York Yankee outfielder Jesse Barfield.

Starter Dedgar Jimenez and reliever Kevin McAvoy both tossed 3 scoreless innings. The win went to Pat Goetze who escaped a jam in the top of the 9th leading to Barfield's game-winning blow in the bottom half.
Barfield, 1B Josh Ockimey (RBI triple in the 4th-inning), and SS Mike Miller all had 2 hits apiece.
The PawSox (2-1) travel to Sarasota to take on the Norfolk Tides on Saturday afternoon.
