Brennon Lund recorded his team-high 26th multi-hit game of the season and drove in a pair of runs. His two-out single in the fifth got the BayBears (48-42 overall, 11-11 second half) on the board after falling behind 2-0 early. However, the Generals (49-43, 10-13) scored runs in four of their last five trips to the plate to pull away. Former BayBear Domingo Leyba homered for the second straight game, a two-run shot in the fifth, and Tyler Ladendorf added a two-run homer in the sixth. Daniel Robertson collected three hits for the third consecutive night, including a two-run single in the seventh.
Joel Payamps (8-3) earned the win with a quality start, giving up one run on five hits in six innings pitched. Bud Jeter notched his first save, tossing 2 1/3 scoreless, hitless frames to finish the game.
