Entering the final frame trailing 3-1, Luis Rengifo plated Jose Rojas on a fielder's choice. The BayBears (47-39 overall, 10-8 second half) loaded the bases with one out, but Alejandro Chacin got a strikeout and a groundout to end the game and earn his fifth save.
Brennon Lund 's sacrifice fly in the first inning gave Mobile an early 1-0 lead. However, Pensacola (44-43, 14-5) responded quickly with a pair of home runs from Shed Long and Aristides Aquino in the first and second, respectively, to take a 3-1 lead.
Angels No. 3 prospect Jahmai Jones went 1-for-4 in his Double-A debut, reaching twice with a first-inning single and a ninth-inning walk. Jones has reached base safely in his last 19 games, dating back to June 14.
