Baysox To Air Game Broadcasts on WNAV Annapolis for 2026 Season

Bowie, MD (March 25, 2026) – The Chesapeake Baysox -– Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles -- are happy to announce the return of WNAV 1430 AM/92.7 FM Annapolis as the flagship station of Baysox baseball broadcasts for the 2026 season. For the fourth consecutive season, Baysox fans can tune in to all 138 regular season games on WNAV 1430 AM/92.7 FM locally in the Annapolis region or online at WNAV.com. WNAV is also set to broadcast additional Baysox Radio Network programming, including the return of “Baysox Weekly” – a half-hour radio show each Saturday morning at 8 a.m. ET highlighting current and upcoming events, exclusive player and coach interviews, and behind- the-scenes stories surrounding the Baysox organization.

"Being able to showcase the Orioles of tomorrow on WNAV is really exciting for the station,” said WNAV Managing Member Todd Bartley. “Fans can see the Oriole roster is filled with former Baysox who have a huge impact on and off the field. The additional on-air programming in and around Baysox games, including Baysox Weekly, aligns with the Major League-level coverage fans have come to expect from WNAV."

WNAV and the Baysox are set to kick off their partnership this season by broadcasting the Friday, March 27 spring training exhibition game between the Baysox and Delmarva Shorebirds -- Single-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles – at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in Salisbury, Maryland. Fans can tune in on Friday as Chesapeake takes the field for the first time in 2026 in a seven-inning spring training-style exhibition. Additionally, the Baysox will build up to their 2026 regular season opener on Thursday, April 2 in Hartford with a special season-preview edition of “Baysox Weekly” set to air at 6:20 p.m., leading up to Baysox Pregame at 6:55 p.m. First pitch between Chesapeake and the Hartford Yard Goats is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. next Thursday to officially kick off the 2026 campaign.

Andre Magaro returns as lead play-by-play broadcaster for the Baysox in 2026. Magaro enters his fourth season as a member of the Baysox broadcast team. He joined the Baysox just prior to the start of the 2023 season. Originally a native of Enola, Pennsylvania, Magaro graduated from the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State University in 2022, where he covered a variety of sports as a student broadcaster. Magaro also spent two summers broadcasting collegiate summer baseball in the Northwoods League. He is set to serve as the primary play-by-play voice for all Baysox broadcasts with a rotating panel joining him for select home games.

The 2026 Baysox home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7 against the Erie SeaWolves – Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. ET.
