The Beloit Snappers (2-0) defeated the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (0-2) by the score of 10-1 Saturday afternoon at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, WI.

Austin Beck had a career-night for the Snappers in just his second game in full season ball. The 19-year-old went 3-for-6 with a career-high four RBI night.
In Beck's first at-bat, the Lexington, NC native struck out but soon turned the tide. In his second at-bat of the game, Beck laced an RBI single to center field, scoring Jack Meggs to put the Snappers on top at the time 2-0.
He singled home a run again in the third frame, as he beat out an infield single to score Trace Loehr to give the Snappers a 4-1 edge at the time after Loehr plated a run earlier in the inning on a base knock to center field scoring Jake Lumley.
With a 4-1 lead in hand, Beck struck again with a two-run single right field, scoring Jack Meggs and Nick Allen to extend the Snappers lead to 6-1.
The lone run scored by the T-Rats came in the bottom of the second inning off the bat of Wisconsin outfielder Demi Orimoloye who plated Pat McInerny, trimming the Snappers lead to 2-1 at the time.
Snappers starter Wyatt marks pitched brilliantly in his full-season debut. The Louisiana-Lafayette product picked up the win as the right-hander tossed five innings, allowing just one run while striking out three batters.
Bryce Conley came on in scheduled relief as part of a tandem for the Snappers. The right-hander picked up the save, as he tossed the final four innings and did not issue a base hit, surrendered just one walk and had four strikeouts in his season debut.
The Snappers added four runs in the final two frames, including three in the eighth inning. Two walks with the bases loaded to Meggs and Mickey McDonald allowed the Snappers to grab two of the eighth inning runs, while Nick Allen drove home the final run of the frame as he singled home Loehr to increase the lead to 9-1.
Meggs added an RBI in the top of the ninth as he grounded out to first, scoring Jake Lumley from third to give the Snappers their 10th and final run of the evening.
In total, Snappers bats racked up 15 hits and seven of the nine Snappers starters each had at least one base hit in the contest.
The series concludes with game four of the split series Sunday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. The Snappers will turn to right-hander Xavier Altamirano (0-0, 0.00) and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers will send right-hander Nelson Hernandez (0-0, 0.00).
