SALEM, Virginia (June 27, 2019) - Garrett Benge walked the BeerMongers off 5-4 over the Winston-Salem Dash in ten innings Thursday night at Haley Toyota Field.

How it Happened
* Tyler Frost led-off for the Dash with a single in the first inning. Mitch Roman followed suit before being rolled into a double play that permitted Frost to third base. A passed ball brought home the first run.
* Keith Curcio responded, drawing a lead-off walk in the home-half of the frame. Pedro Castellanos singled and both men scored on a Victor Acosta single and error. Garrett Benge tripled to score Acosta and the BeerMongers extended, 3-1.
* Winston-Salem reclaimed the lead immediately. Craig Dedelow started with a double, JJ Muno was hit by a pitch, Evan Skoug singled and the first run crossed with a groundout from Frost. A passed ball brought home the tying run and an error the go-ahead run and 4-3 lead.
* Benge, Tanner Nishioka and Nick Sciortino laced consecutive singles, the latter scoring Benge to re-tie the tilt 4-4 after six innings.
* Andrew Politi relieved Mata after six innings of work, stretching for 2 2/3 of scoreless relief to hold the contest even through the ninth inning. Joan Martinez took over, striking out three through the tenth inning to give Salem a chance.
* Acosta was the placed runner at second base when Edgar Corcino was intentionally walked. Marcus Wilson singled to load the bases and Benge delivered a deep drive to left field for the walk-off, 5-4 win.
