Bees Down 51s on Jazz Night

SALT LAKE CITY (July 1, 2017) - Shane Robinson collected three hits and scored twice as the Salt Lake Bees knocked off the Las Vegas 51s 6-3 on Saturday night. 

SALT LAKE CITY (July 1, 2017) - Shane Robinson collected three hits and scored twice as the Salt Lake Bees knocked off the Las Vegas 51s 6-3 on Saturday night. 

For Robinson it was his seventh multi-hit game in his last nine outings as he set the table for the Bees offense at the leadoff spot. Robinson was joined by Ramón Flores, Carlos Pèrez and Nolan Fontana with multi-hit nights. Flores finished with a double and a triple with three RBIs to lead the team.
Lefty John Lamb (1-0) got his second start for the Bees, picking up the win after throwing six innings, giving up four hits and two runs while walking five. Behind Lamb Mike Morin worked two scoreless innings and Justin Miller allowed a run in the ninth, but held the lead to the give the Bees the victory. The Bees wore specialty Utah Jazz-inspired jerseys during the night and Jazz center Rudy Gobert threw out the first pitch before the game. The Bees are now 5-3 in games where they wear an alternate jersey.
The Bees and 51s have two game remaining in the series with Sunday starting at 7:05 and Monday at 6:35 p.m. Monday night will be followed by a huge Independence Day fireworks show. Tickets and more information is available at www.slbees.com.
