2019 Bees Promotional Schedule Announced

BURLINGTON, IA - The Burlington Bees officially announce the team's 2019 promotional schedule featuring theme nights, special on-field jerseys and firework nights for most of the Bees' 70 regular season home games.
April
The Bees face the Quad Cities River Bandits in the Community Field home opening night on Saturday, April 6 with a magnet schedule giveaway to the first 1,000 fans in attendance. The following night, Sunday, April 7, the Bees will feature drink specials in honor of National Beer Day. Thursday, April 11 marks the Bees' first matinee game with an 11:30 AM scheduled first pitch versus the Beloit Snappers.
On Friday, April 19, the Bees celebrate National Garlic Day with a concession special of garlic parmesan fries. First pitch is scheduled for the matinee time of 11:30 AM once again on Wednesday, April 24 as Burlington faces the Kane County Cougars. The April slate of home promotions concludes with a 90's Rivalry Night the likes of NSYNC versus The Backstreet Boys on Tuesday, April 30.
May
The third and final 11:30 AM first pitch of the season is scheduled for Thursday, May 2 as the Bees face the South Bend Cubs. On the following evening, Friday, April 3, the Bees recognize Burlington's baseball future hosting Little League Opening Ceremonies at Community Field prior to facing the West Michigan Whitecaps. On Saturday, May 4, Community Field will be swarmed by young baseballers again for the Angels on the Outfield Youth Baseball Clinic in morning followed by another Bees matchup with West Michigan.
Professional nurses of all certifications and specialties are granted free admission with nurses credentials to Community Field on Sunday, May 5 for Nurse Appreciation Night. On Tuesday, May 14, fans of all ages are encouraged to shake their tailfeathers in the spirit of Dance Like a Chicken Day. The Queen Bees Baseball Academy, an all-women's baseball clinic, leads off Saturday, May 18 as the Bees recognize all veteran and active members of the United States' Armed Forces during the night's matchup against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
The wet noses and pattering paws of dogs of all shapes and sizes are welcomed to Community Field for Bark in the Park Night on Sunday, May 19. The Bees welcome all local educators to the ballpark for Teacher Appreciation Night on Thursday, May 30 as Burlington battles the Cedar Rapids Kernels. Halloween arrives early on Friday, May 31 as the Bees celebrate all things spooky and ghostly as the they face Quad Cities.
June
Post-game fireworks light up the skies over Community Field on Saturday, June 1 as the Bees take the field in special jerseys to be auctioned to celebrate and support the charitable work of the American Cancer Society. Bees fans will scream for ice cream as Friday, June 7 marks National Chocolate Ice Cream Day with Burlington facing the Clinton LumberKings. The following night, Saturday, June 8 marks the second night of the season highlighting post-game fireworks.
The Bees celebrate Father's Day early on Sunday, June 9 as all fathers are invited to the game for special recognition. Friday, June 21 leads off Lee County Weekend with the Bees and National Selfie Day complete with scavenger hunt sending fans everywhere about Community Field. Post-game fireworks return to the skies on Saturday, June 22 with the weekend and series versus the Kane County concluding on Sunday, June 23.
July
The Bees complete a series with Cedar Rapids and Catfish Bend Casino present post-game fireworks for an early Independence Day on Wednesday, July 3. The conclusion of Little League baseball season is celebrated and teams are recognized as Burlington clashes with the Peoria Chiefs on Saturday, July 6. A limited number of fans through the gates on Sunday, July 7 will take home a baseball card set featuring the 2019 Bees team.
Princesses of all ages are welcome for Princess Night at Community Field on Friday, July 12 as the Bees take on the Ft. Wayne Tincaps. "Viva las Abejas!" The Bees don special jerseys in honor of Latin Heritage Night with post-game fireworks on Saturday, July 13. On Sunday, July 14, fans are encouraged to take a bite of fun and dance-off after the game as part of the Baby Shark Phenomenon in honor of Shark Awareness Day. Christmas arrives early on Friday, July 26 capped by post-game fireworks.
August
Scouts of America are invited to Community Field with a post-game fireworks show on Friday, Aug. 2 as the Bees face Quad Cities. The ballpark takes on a carnival atmosphere with the Back-to-School Carnival Bash and 2019 Team Photo giveaway on Thursday, Aug. 8. As football season approaches, the Bees will take the field in special themed jerseys for Kick-off to College Football Night in addition to Girls Scouts Night and the final post-game fireworks show of the season on Saturday, Aug. 10. Sunday, Aug. 11 offers the annual Community Basket Day at the ballpark as the Bees face Kane County.
On Saturday, Aug. 24 heroes invade Community Field as fans are invited to dress as their favorite crimefighters for Superhero Night. The Bees honor the Bees best supporters in the greater Burlington area with Fan Appreciation Night on Friday, August 30.
Weekly Promotions
Dollar Monday presented by Henkens Lawn Care: Adult general admission tickets are just $2 with all senior and student tickets, hot dogs and cans of Pepsi products priced at just $1. Miller Lite and Coors Light 16-ounce cans are only $3.50.
Hawk Eye Two-for-Tuesday: Fans may utilize a coupon printed in The Hawk Eye newspaper to receive two general admission tickets for the price of one.
Carpetland USA Kids Eat Free Wednesday: All fans ages 6 to 12-years old receive a free hot dog and drink with paid admission to the game.
The Buffalo Tavern Thirsty Thursday: Fans of age may enjoy drink specials on all beer and Pepsi Products throughout the game.
Big Fun Friday Presented by Great River Health System: All fans are invited to Community Field for big fun with 16-ounce Bud Lite and Busch Light cans for $3.50 all game presented by Budweiser.
US Bank Friends and Family Saturday: Fans are encouraged to bring all friends and family to the game as everyone in attendance is invited to run the bases after the game.
Huffman's Farm and Home Sunday: All kids age 12 and under in attendance are invited to run the bases post-game. Fans are encouraged to wear red as the Bees take the field in red uniforms honoring the team Major League affiliate Los Angeles Angels.
