Bees to Welcome 12-Millionth Fan to Smith's Ballpark
SALT LAKE CITY (June 27, 2017) - The Salt Lake Bees expect to welcome their 12-millionth fan through the gates of Smith's Ballpark during the team's homestand. The lucky fan will receive a prize package from the Salt Lake Bees as the team celebrates the milestone.
SALT LAKE CITY (June 27, 2017) - The Salt Lake Bees expect to welcome their 12-millionth fan through the gates of Smith's Ballpark during the team's homestand. The lucky fan will receive a prize package from the Salt Lake Bees as the team celebrates the milestone.
Upon arrival at the ballpark the fortunate fan will be greeted by Bees general manager Marc Amicone, president of Vivint Smart Home Arena Jim Olson, Bees front office staff, Bumble and the HoneyBees to welcome them to the ballpark. They will receive season tickets for the remainder of the Bees 2017 season, season tickets for the 2018 season and a flyaway package to see the Los Angeles Angels, along with a day pass to Disneyland in 2018 (includes airfare, hotel accommodations and tickets).
Salt Lake has averaged over 7,000 fans per game over the nearly 1,700, home games the ballpark has hosted since opening in 1994. In 2016, the Bees hosted 503,659 fans, breaking the half-million mark for the 12th time in franchise history. Entering Tuesday night's contest the Bees have entertained 11,985,615 fans in franchise history and are 14,385 fans shy of hitting 12-million mark.
The homestand began on Monday night with a crowd of 7,715 on-hand to see the Bees beat the Reno Aces 6-5. The Bees remain home through Monday, July 3 with fireworks postgame on Friday, Saturday and Monday. A complete schedule with all upcoming promotions is available at www.slbees.com.
