TACOMA, Wash. - A brilliant outing from Christian Bergman and an onslaught of home runs sent the Tacoma Rainiers (62-65) to a lopsided 11-1 victory over the Reno Aces (66-62) on Wednesday night at Cheney Stadium.
Bergman (8-9) spun his best outing of the season, carrying a no-hit bid into the sixth inning and finishing the night with seven scoreless, one-hit innings of work. Bergman issued three walks and struck out four on 101 pitches (64 strikes) and earned his team-leading eighth win of the year.

Right fielder Cameron Perkins (2x5, 2 R, 2B, HR, 3 RBI), catcher Cameron Rupp (2x4, 3 R, HR, RBI, BB), and first baseman Daniel Vogelbach (1x3, R, HR, 2 RBI, 2 BB) all clubbed home runs as the Rainiers offense erupted for 11 runs. Second baseman Adam Law also checked in with multiple hits, going 2-for-4 with his 13th double of the year, a run scored, and two RBI.
Rehabbing Major Leaguer Dan Altavilla allowed one run on one hit (home run) in the eighth, relieving Bergman. James Pazos, in his first action with the Rainiers, tossed a scoreless ninth inning with one walk and one strikeout to seal the win.
