There is nothing quite as exhilarating at a baseball game than offense. Home runs, crooked numbers on the scoreboard and the sound of a bat when it squares up a ball will always get a fan’s heart rate up a tick or two.

Sure, there is a certain art form to a pitchers’ duel, but nothing sends a crowd into a frenzy quite like an offensive barrage. After all, as that Nike commercial from the 1990s famously put it, “chicks dig the long ball.”

And while everyone dreams of the opportunity to play the hero for their team, sometimes it takes two to turn an incredible game into an unforgettable one. And what these four pairs of teammates did proves just that.

Here are four of the most dynamic duo offensive performances of 2019 that you can watch during the MiLB.TV free preview. Head over to Twitter to vote on which one will be streamed on YouTube and Facebook this Thursday!

Cron, Locastro double down on trifectas

Tim Locastro admitted after this game, last April 25, that he and Triple-A Reno teammate Kevin Cron-- the D-backs' No. 26 prospect -- "were trying to one-up each other the whole time.” The result of the friendly competition was three dingers apiece, 25 total bases, 13 RBIs and a historic night for the franchise. They became the first Aces duo to hit three homers in the same game. And if a milestone night among teammates wasn’t enough, Cron nearly accomplished the rare natural home run cycle. With a solo shot in the first inning, a two-run blast in the second and a three-run tater in the fourth, he was a grand slam away from the feat. Fittingly, it was Locastro who put an exclamation point on the explosive night with a salami for his third tater in the fifth. Full story | Highlight: Locastro cranks grand slam | Watch game

Another de-Lux effort … with a Garlick kick

Since being drafted 20th overall in 2016, Gavin Lux has made a rapid rise through the Dodgers system, one that's been cluttered with impressive individual feats. And as if being promoted to the Minors' highest level at the age of 21 wasn’t enough, the top Dodgers prospect opened his stint in the Pacific Coast League with a 14-game hitting streak. Then, last July 18, the infielder outdid himself ... again. Lux not only extended the streak to 15 games, he did so by turning in his first career five-hit performance and going yard for the fifth straight contest. The effort brought his PCL average to a whopping .524. Triple-A Oklahoma City skipper Travis Barbery admitted after the game, "Everyone here is pretty much in awe of what he's doing.” This time, Lux wasn’t alone in the limelight. Perhaps tired of all the attention the new guy was getting, Kyle Garlick turned in his own milestone effort with his second three-dinger game of the season -- becoming the first Minor Leaguer with multiple three-homer games last year. The teammates accounted for 12 of OKC’s 18 runs. Full story | Highlight: Lux homers for fourth hit | Watch game

Lewis, White travel to two-homerville

Evan White was playing in just his fourth game with Double-A Arkansas since returning from a week-long stint on the injured list with concussion-iike symptoms, when he took the field last Aug. 9. The fourth-ranked Mariners prospect admitted that his timing was off and that he “needed to be the guy on the attack” again. After grounding out in his first at-bat, the shift in mentality finally took as he turned on pitches in his next two trips to the plate and deposited a couple of souvenirs to fans in the left field lawn seats. The right-handed slugger capped his night by driving in his fifth run of the game with a knock in the seventh, tying his career high. Meanwhile, Kyle Lewis extended his hitting streak to five with a pair of jacks of his own. The M's No. 10 prospect mashed two solo shots for his third career multi-homer effort and first since May 28, 2018 with Class A Advanced Modesto. Nunez, Ramos form power Isotope

With a pair of homers already on his stat sheet, Dom Nuñez stepped to the plate in the eighth inning of a game well in hand for Triple-A Albuquerque last April 21 and remembered something his teammate -- Roberto Ramos -- told him: “You got one more.” And after falling behind, 0-2, he did indeed have one more. The 25-year-old crushed his third long ball of the night, completing his first hat trick and the first trifecta for Albuquerque in nine years while setting a career high with six RBIs. As for Ramos, he didn’t just inspire with his words, the lefty-hitting slugger mashed a grand slam later in the frame to cap an eight-RBI night that matched the team record. It was all part of an offensive assault by the Isotopes, who finished with six homers, 21 hits and tied franchise records for runs in a game (23) and victory margin (21). "It's still like an out-of-body experience for me," Nunez said after the game. "It hasn't even really set in yet." There’s a good chance that might still be true.
