West Sacramento, CA - The Sacramento River Cats (51-70) scored the first two runs of the ballgame tonight but were unable to respond to the Salt Lake Bees' comeback (61-61) Monday night, falling 8-2 at Raley Field.

Tim Federowicz put the River Cats up early, launching a two-run home run in the second inning to open the scoring. One inning later, the Bees responded with two runs of their own off Sacramento starter Case Kelly to tie things up 2-2. From then on it was all Salt Lake however, as they scored six more times in the sixth inning to make it an 8-2 game. Despite matching the Bees with nine hits tonight, Sacramento finished 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position and had just two other extra base hits.
The River Cats will travel to Reno tomorrow to take on the Aces for a four-game series. Right-hander Roberto Gomez (3-7, 4.62) will take the hill for Sacramento. He will face right-hander Matt Koch (2-2, 9.46). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. (PT) and the game can be heard live online at rivercats.com and on the air on ESPN 1320.
