Pawtucket (61-68) trimmed a 3-0 deficit to 3-2 in the fourth but could not complete a comeback despite threatening in the eighth and ninth innings. The Bisons (59-70) have hit six home runs and won each of the first two meetings of the four-game series to begin Pawtucket's final homestand of the season. The PawSox have lost five of their last six games.
In his second non-rehab start since his return from an oblique strain, Pawtucket starter Roenis Elias (L, 1-4) fanned seven in seven innings - both season-bests - while ceding 10 hits and four runs.
