Buffalo's-own "Wing King" has cooked up something special for this year's 716 Day in Western New York and the Bisons are joining in on the fun during their game on Monday, July 16 against the Norfolk Tides (7:05 p.m.).
Upon learning that recognition for the chicken wing's most popular dipping compliment did not have its own day, "Wing King" and friend of the Bisons Drew Cerza declared that this Monday would be the first ever "National Bleu Cheese Dressing Day."
The day will culminate at the Bisons game that night when the Wing King himself ceremonially inducts the popular Bleu Cheese racing mascot into the Buffalo Wing Hall of Flame.
And since Blue Cheese is the only acceptable dipping dressing for Chicken wings, Cerza and the Bisons have also announced that they have teamed up with the Food Bank of WNY for a special 'Ranch Dressing Drop Off Drive," prior to the Bisons game that night. Anyone that donates an unopened bottle of ranch dressing -no questions asked, we promise- will be able to purchase buy-one, get-one Bisons tickets to the game that night against Norfolk (any non-perishable food item will be accepted, but this is a great way to get rid of that ranch in your pantry!)

The Bisons game, which already features $1 ice cream and popcorn as part of their popular 'Markdown Monday' promotion, will also have 'bobbing for wings' during the game as well as its nightly WCC Race featuring the new Hall of Famer, Bleu Cheese.
