Greenville, S.C. (Aug. 5, 2026) – The Hudson Valley Renegades pounded out 13 hits in an 11-4 victory on Wednesday night over the Greenville Drive at Fluor Field. The game was halted before the start of the eighth inning and called early due to lightning.
Eight of the nine players in the Renegades starting lineup recorded at least one hit, and four players had multi-hit games. Three Renegades batters finished the game with multi-RBI games.
The Renegades broke the game open with five runs in the top of the fourth inning, sending 10 to the plate.
Hudson Valley tied their season high with seven stole five bases in the game and have stolen 12 bases in the first two games of the series in Greenville. The Renegades have stolen 192 bases on the season, the second-most in a single-season in team history (2023) and are stealing 1.88 bases per game.
The Renegades have stolen seven-or-more bases in a game 11 times since 2005, with the last occurrence coming on 4/26/2026.
The Renegades improve to 13-9 all-time in the regular season against the Drive, and 7-4 at Fluor Field.
Hudson Valley has scored 10-or-more runs in four of the 11 games they have played all-time at Fluor Field and are averaging 8.5 runs per game and 10.5 hits per game at the ballpark.
RHP Sean Paul Liñan (4.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K) struck out two batters across four innings and was removed before the top of the fifth with an apparent injury.
Liñan had his best inning of the game in the fourth, retiring the Drive 1-2-3. He went out to warm up for the fifth but halted his warmups and was removed from the game.
Despite the shorter start, Liñan completed 4.0 innings for just the second time in four appearances after the All-Star Break.
Over his last two starts Liñan has thrown 11.1 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 11 K, lowering his ERA from 6.28 to 5.77.
CF Jackson Lovich (2-for-4, 2 R, 3 RBI, 2 SB) has hits in his first eight games in High-A and extended his overall hitting streak to nine straight games. Wednesday night was already his fourth multi-hit game and second in a row.
Lovich is batting .400/.441/.400 with 7 R, 7 RBI, 3 BB, 12 K, 5-for-6 SB in High-A.
Between the Renegades and Single-A Tampa, Lovich has 100 hits on the season.
1B David McCann (1-for-4, R, HR, 3 RBI) hit a home run in his first at-bat as a Renegade. He hit an opposite-field three-run shot in the first to give the Renegades a 3-0 lead four batters into the game.
It was McCann’s 10th home run of the season overall in 46 games between the Renegades, the FCL Yankees and the Tampa Tarpons.
SS Core Jackson (1-for-3, 2 R, 3B, 2 BB, SB) reached base three times for the second straight game since being activated off the IL.
Jackson’s stolen base was his 30th of the season, making him the first Renegades player with 30 steals in a season since Spencer Jones (35, 2023). He is the sixth Renegade all-time with a 30-steal season, joining Michael Ross (30, 2008), Aldenis Sanchez (32, 2022), Jake Fraley (33, 2016), Cooper Bowman (35, 2022) and Jones.
C Eric Genther (2-for-4, 3 R, RBI, BB, SB) scored three runs and drove in a run while collecting two hits.
Since 6/20 Genther is batting .345/.458/.531 (39-for-113) with 21 R, 9 doubles, 4 HR, 23 RBIs, 17 BB, 22 K.
LF Dean Tiogo (1-for-4, 2 RBI) had a two-run single in the fourth inning as part of his first professional game.
Tiogo was drafted in the 20th round of the 2026 MLB Draft out of Arizona State.
DH Josue Gonzalez (3-for-4, R, 2B, SB) had his second three-hit game of the season.
RHP Jose M. Rodriguez (2.0 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K) picked up the win in his High-A debut.
