For over 40 years, Dunedin has been home for Blue Jays baseball. Chosen as the Spring Training location for the expansion Toronto Blue Jays in 1977, Dunedin has served as a welcoming host for fans from across the United States and Canada ever since. Four decades later, the Blue Jays are the only Major League franchise to have never changed Spring Training locations.
With stadium renovations on the horizon that will allow the Blue Jays to continue calling Dunedin home for the next 25 years, the Blue Jays are proud to celebrate their city this Spring Training with a Dunedin Beach Towel giveaway sponsored by the Tampa Bay Times on March 25th! The first 2,500 fans through the gates for the Blue Jays game against the Pittsburgh Pirates will take home the exclusive commemorative beach towel that features images from Downtown Dunedin, Dunedin Marina, Dunedin Causeway, Dunedin Stadium, and beautiful Honeymoon Island.
