Rome started right where they left off from last night, taking an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, thanks to an RBI double by Brett Cumberland and an RBI single by Anthony Concepcion.

Rome started right where they left off from last night, taking an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, thanks to an RBI double by Brett Cumberland and an RBI single by Anthony Concepcion.

The Greenjackets countered in the top of the second with a Michael Bernal RBI single to make it a 2-1 game. The Braves then came back to score one in the fifth after Cristian Pache scored on a double play, and one in the sixth on a Kevin Josephina sacrifice fly to make it a 4-1 game. Augusta scored a run in the ninth but Brandon S. White was able to shut them down after that for the 4-2 victory. Braves starter Ian Anderson pitched well, going five innings giving up one run on three hits.
Anderson (4-4) picked up the win for the Braves while Garrett Williams takes the loss for Augusta. White (6) picks up the save. 
Rome and Augusta square off in the series finale tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
