The Braves plated the first run of the game in the second inning when Lucas Herbert (7) launched a solo home run to left to give the Braves the early 1-0 lead.

The Braves plated the first run of the game in the second inning when Lucas Herbert (7) launched a solo home run to left to give the Braves the early 1-0 lead.

Delmarva came back quickly in the third inning after a couple singles set up an RBI groundout to tie the game at 1-1. Both teams had numerous scoring chances throughout, but the game remained tied until the ninth inning when Gerrion Grim notched an RBI double to give Delmarva the late 2-1 lead. The Braves went in order in the bottom half to give Delmarva the 2-1 victory. Joey Wentz had another strong outing for Rome going five innings, giving up one unearned run on five hits with seven strikeouts. The Braves left ten runners on base in the game.
Stephen Klimek (5-1) gets the win in relief for Delmarva while Rome's Matt Custred (0-3) is hit with the loss.
The Braves will have an off day tomorrow before heading to Asheville Thursday for a four game series.
