HELENA, MT - After serving as the Helena Brewers Assistant General Manager for the last three seasons, Travis Hawks has announced he is leaving the club to accept a position with Learfield Sports in coordination with the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
"I truly appreciated my time in Helena, Montana, and with the Brewers," said Hawks. "Helena will always have a special place in my heart. Everyone I have worked with and all the people in Helena are what truly allowed me to be successful. I will take everything I've learned as a part of the Brewers organization and put it to good use in my future endeavours. I thank everyone that has been a part of my time in Helena and wish them only the best!"
"Travis has done so much for the Brewers in his tenure here in Helena," said President/General Manager Paul Fetz. "The time and effort he has put into helping our club move forward every day will certainly be missed, but we're very excited to see what he will achieve in his new post."
Hawks joined the Brewers in 2014 as the Director of Ticketing and Operations before a promotion to Assistant General Manger in the fall of 2015. He was instrumental in expanding the Brewers Reading and TEAM Player Programs, engaging with elementary schools throughout the Helena area and rewarding children who meet school specified reading goals. Hawks was also a part of the Brewers introduction of Wally the Woolly Mammoth as the teams' new mascot in 2015.
In 2016, Hawks helped bring fireworks to Kindrick Legion Field for the first in the franchises' history. Through months of preparation and acquiring the proper permits and permission, the Brewers hosted their first ever fireworks night at the ballpark on July 8, 2016. The tradition continued this year with as a staple of the Brewers promotional schedule.
A graduate of Colorado Mesa University, Hawks started his career in baseball with the Grand Junction Rockies in 2012. He then moved to Mobile, AL in 2013 to work for the Mobile BayBears (Double-A Affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks) as a Sales Representative before joining Helena in 2014.
