The PawSox will once again be hosting a "Legends Day" at McCoy Stadium this summer, presented by Cox Communications, with 2004 Red Sox World Series Champion Bronson Arroyo.

The right-hander pitched the fourth perfect game in the history of the International League on August 10, 2003 in a 7-0 PawSox win over the Buffalo Bisons. His perfect game was the second in PawSox history (the first was thrown by Tomo Ohka on June 1, 2000 against Charlotte).
Arroyo has appeared in 419 MLB games, starting 383 of them. He's played for the Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds, and Arizona Diamondbacks. The righty has logged almost 2,500 innings, accruing 148 wins, 1,571 strikeouts, and a career ERA of 4.28. During the 2004 World Series campaign as a member of the Red Sox, Arroyo made two starts and four relief appearances throughout the postseason.
In 2010 with the Cincinnati Reds, Arroyo went 17-10, posted a 3.88 ERA, and was awarded a Gold Glove (the last Reds Pitcher to receive a Gold Glove was Harvey Haddix in 1958).
Arroyo will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch before Pawtucket's 1:35pm game against Syracuse, and greet PawSox fans during the game at McCoy Stadium's Vertikal 6 Fan Center. As always, kids are invited to run the bases with their families once the game concludes.
