The Rochester Red Wings dropped a 3-1 contest to the Durham Bulls Saturday night at Frontier Field. It was the eighth straight home loss for the Wings, the first time since the 2010 season for a home slump like this. The homestand wraps up Sunday with a 1:05 p.m. game; Sunday features a baseball giveaway, it's a Knot Hole Kids' Club game, and kids can run the bases with Spikes and Mittsy after the game.

The Bulls struck first in the top of the first inning after Brandon Snyder hit an RBI single off Red Wings starting pitcher D.J. Baxendale, making the score 1-0.
The Red Wings tied the game in the bottom of the second after an RBI single from Willians Astudillo against Bulls starting pitcher Forrest Snow, scoring Cameron Rupp.
Baxendale was replaced by Trevor May with two outs in the top of the fourth inning. Baxendale finished his outing with 3.2 innings thrown, allowing two hits and one earned run with three walks and five strikeouts. Baxendale threw 61 pitches, 37 for strikes.
The Wings threatened in the bottom of the fifth after a stolen base by Astudillo and a throwing error by Bulls catcher Nick Ciuffo, which moved Astudillo to third with one out. Snow struck out the next two batters to end the inning.
Gabriel Moya came on in relief of May with one out in the top of the sixth. Next batter, Micah Johnson, bunted the ball down the first base line for an RBI and hit, making the score 2-1 Bulls. Moya worked out of a bases loaded jam with a fly-out to center to end the inning.
May finished with 1.2 innings thrown, allowing two hits and one earned run with three walks and a strikeout.
Snow was replaced by Andrew Kittredge in the bottom of the seventh for the Bulls. Snow finished with 6.0 innings thrown, giving up three hits and allowing one earned run with three walks and one strikeout. Snow threw 81 pitches, 60 for strikes.

Martinez had been used exclusively as a reliever prior to his unexpected start against the Suns, but on this night he makes a genius out of Darrell Johnson. Martinez records a 7-inning no-hitter as the Red Wings beat Jacksonville 5-0 to split the twinbill. The Orioles' farmhand faced 24 batters in his no-hitter, allowing one walk while three Suns reached base on errors.
