(Memorial Stadium - Everett, WA) - Canadians LF Norberto Obeso went 3-for-3 with a double and C Riley Adams hit a triple and later scored to help pace Vancouver to a 3-1 victory over Everett on Thursday night. The win moves Vancouver (17-12) back into sole possession of top spot

(Memorial Stadium - Everett, WA) - Canadians LF Norberto Obeso went 3-for-3 with a double and C Riley Adams hit a triple and later scored to help pace Vancouver to a 3-1 victory over Everett on Thursday night. The win moves Vancouver (17-12) back into sole possession of top spot in the North Division, one game better than both Tri-City and Spokane, three games clear of Everett with nine second half games remaining.
Canadians CF Reggie Pruitt grabbed an RBI in the top of the 3rd inning when his groundout cashed in Deiferson Barreto giving Vancouver an early 1-0 lead. Vancouver would score two runs in the top of the 8th inning when C Riley Adams tripled, scoring Norberto Obeso. Adams would score minutes later when RF Brock Lundquist singled to centerfield extending the Canadians lead to 3-0.
Everett SS Chris Torres would hit his 3rd home run of the season in the bottom of the 9th to break up the shutout bid as Canadians RHP Orlando Pasqual preserved LHP Travis Bergen's 1st win of the season as he managed his 5th save in the process. Canadians starter RHP Nate Pearson went four no-hit innings with five strikeouts to keep his season ERA at 0.00 through 20 innings of work.
With the win, Vancouver improves to 17-12 (.586) through 29 second half games, and 38-29 (.567) overall. Everett falls to 14-15 (.483) with the loss as the Aquasox fall three games back of Vancouver with nine second half games remaining.
