(Gesa Stadium - Pasco, WA) - The way it started and the way it ended couldn't have been further apart as Vancouver's early 2-0 lead evaporated on Thursday evening as the Tri-City Dust Devils scored 12 of the game's final 13 runs to send the Canadians packing with a 12-3 loss in the suitcase to wrap up an eight-game road trip.
Vancouver SS Logan Warmoth hit his 1st professional home run in the top of the 1st inning with Reggie Pruitt (walk) on-base to give the Canadians an early 2-0 lead. The C's only other run of the night came on a wild pitch that scored 3B Deiferson Barreto in the top of the 6th inning.
Pitching struggled for the Canadians in the rubber-match of this three-game series as RHP Juan Nunez allowed seven runs, five earned over his three innings as he walked three and hit another four Dust Devils hitters along with the five hits he allowed.RHP Chris Hall, RHP Orlando Pascual and RHP bobby Eveld also gave up runs as Vancouver fell to 1-3 (.250) on the young second half of the season, and 22-20 (.524) overall.
Vancouver now returns to historic Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium for a three-game series against the Tri-City Dust Devils that runs from Friday, July 28th through Sunday, July 30th. This series has been announced as SOLD OUT.
