(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - After trailing 3-0 and 5-2, the Vancouver Canadians offense exploded for eight unanswered runs on a season-high 17 hits as the C's topped Salem-Keizer for the fourth straight night, 10-5 the final.
Canadians DH Cameron O'Brien went 4-for-5 with a double while RF Brock Lundquist went 3-for-5 with a team-high four RBI to pace the Vancouver offense that tagged RHP Andy Rohloff (0-2) with his second loss of the season. LF Norberto Obeso (3-for-4), SS Logan Warmoth (3-for-5) and 2B Deiferson Barreto (2-for-4) also had multi-hit nights while 1B Kacy Clemens recorded a pair of RBI to reach 42 on the season moving him into a tie for 6th all-time on Vancouver's single-season list alongside 1B A.J. Kirby Jones (2010).
On the mound, Canadians starter RHP Jose Espada allowed five earned runs on seven hits over his four innings of work before handing the ball off to LHP Miguel Burgos (3.0IP) and RHP Brayden Bouchey (2.0IP). Burgos (2-0) pitched three scoreless innings giving up just a pair of hits while Bouchey was fantastic over his two frames striking out five without allowing a baserunner.
With the win, Vancouver moves to 33-25 (.569) on the season and 12-8 (.600) through 20 second half games while the Volcanoes fall to 23-35 (.397) and 7-13 (.350) with 18 regular season games remaining. Vancouver remains in a tie for top-spot in the North Division alongside Tri-City who finished off a five-game series in Hillsboro taking four of five from the Hops with a 4-3 decision on Tuesday. Spokane (11-9) is a lone game back while the Everett Aquasox fell two games back with a 5-4 loss in Boise in extra innings.
The Canadians now travel to Avista Stadium in Spokane, Washington for the next four nights as the face the Indians with Wednesday's game set for 6:35pm. Vancouver will send LHP Zach Logue (3-1, 0.95) to the mound opposite RHP Tai Tiedemann (3-3, 4.21).
