WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (June 11, 2019) - Some of the brightest stars in Minor League Baseball will converge in Frederick, Md., next Tuesday, June 18, when the Northern Division meets the Southern Division in the Carolina League All-Star Classic, presented by Visit Frederick. The league office announced the full rosters for the exciting event at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium on Tuesday.
Five of the CL's 10 teams boast seven All-Stars, the high-water mark for the event. In the Northern Division, host Frederick and first-half champion Wilmington have seven All-Stars, matching Carolina, Down East and Fayetteville in the Southern Division.

The Keys, hosting the event for the first time since 2005, feature a league-high four pitchers on the active roster, including former first-round pick Cody Sedlock and dominant reliever Steven Klimek. Wilmington did have more total All-Star pitchers with five, three of whom will be active (Jackson Kowar, Tad Ratliff and Tyler Zuber).
As expected, Down East will send an impressive group of players to the game, including a division-high four active position players. Ryan Dorow and Yonny Hernandez will start on the infield, and Leody Taveras will be one of the starters in the outfield. Also, Diosbel Arias will be the back-up infielder from a Wood Ducks squad that can tie the Carolina League record for winning percentage in a half if they win their final six games before the All-Star Game.
In all, every team has at least three All-Stars, creating a balanced showcase for the league in its third straight year pitting the Northern Division against the Southern Division. Last season, the Southern Division claimed a 7-6 win at Five County Stadium, the home of the Carolina Mudcats.
Frederick manager Ryan Minor will lead the Northern Division, and Keys pitching coach Justin Lord, hitting coach Bobby Rose, development coach Adam Bleday and athletic trainer Marty Brinker will join him on the staff. Fayetteville manager Nate Shaver is the Southern Division's skipper, and Woodpeckers pitching coach Thomas Whitsett, hitting coach Jason Kanzler, performance coach James Buckley and athletic trainer Nate Stewart will accompany him in the dugout.
Tuesday's Carolina League All-Star Classic, presented by Visit Frederick, will include pregame ceremonies starting at 7 p.m. with first pitch scheduled for 7:15. A Skills Challenge will take place from 5-6, while Fan Fest, presented by Mattress Warehouse and Smile Frederick Orthodontics, is from 3-6. In-game performances by XPOGO and Tyler's Amazing Balancing Act are scheduled, while fireworks presented by Visit Frederick follow the game. Limited tickets to the game are still available by calling 301-815-9939 or by visiting frederickkeys.com.
