Allentown, Pennsylvania (September 8, 2026) – Carter Kieboom smashed a walk-off two-run single in the last of the 10th as the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (30-33, 65-73) rallied for a 5-4 victory over the Worcester Red Sox (34-28, 70-63) on Tuesday night at Coca-Cola Park.
The WooSox were off and running early as Braiden Ward tripled to start the game and scored on a Franklin Arias sacrifice fly.
Arias drove in Ward again in the fifth with a base hit before Mikey Romero plated Arias with another single to make it 3-0.
Otto Kemp got the ‘Pigs on the board in the sixth with his 15th homer of the season, a solo shot, before an error on a grounder off his bat in the seventh plated another run to make it a one-run game after seven innings.
Dylan Moore produced a sacrifice fly to tie the game in the eighth, at 3-3.
Worcester loaded the bases with nobody out to start the ninth, but failed to score as Michael Mercado and Kirby Snead (W, 6-2) wriggled out of the jam to help send the game to extras.
A pair of flyouts off Snead in the 10th brought around the placed runner for Worcester, giving them a 4-3 lead.
The ‘Pigs loaded the bases loaded with one out in the last of the 10th, setting the stage for Kieboom’s heroics. He laced a single by a diving third baseman, scoring Kameron Misner and pinch-runner Wuilfredo Antunez, winning the game 5-4.
Snead earned the win for the ‘Pigs allowing just the placed runner to score over 1.2 innings, while Osvaldo Berrios (L, 2-2) took the loss for Worcester, allowing both runs in the 10th (one earned).
The ‘Pigs and WooSox continue their series on Wednesday, September 8th at Coca-Cola Park with first pitch slated for 6:45 p.m. The ‘Pigs hand the ball to Brian Keller while Worcester counters with Jedixson Paez.
