CORPUS CHRISTI - Tulsa scored three times in the seventh inning Sunday afternoon, pulling away for a 6-2 win over the Hooks in the series finale at Whataburger Field.

In splitting the six-game set, Corpus Christi and the 68-win Drillers finished the season series even at 6-6.

The Hooks were held to four hits and four walks in Sunday's contest as Tulsa right-hander Patrick Copen, who worked 3 2/3 innings of relief Tuesday, struck out seven against one earned run over five frames.

Corpus Christi's lone RBI came via a Chase Call sac fly in the second.

Will Bush stroked a lead-off double in the eighth and came around to score on a passed ball and balk.

Max Holy, who hit home runs Thursday and Saturday, went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks.

Alex Santos II, Jose Guedez, Hudson Leach, and Ramsey David all pitched scoreless relief for the Hooks.

Santos dispatched four of five batters, striking out two. Thanks to inducing a double play to end the seventh, Leach recorded five outs whilst facing four Drillers.

At 20-19, Corpus Christi enters Tuesday's series opener at Wichita one game back of first-place Amarillo in the Texas League South second-half standings.
