With Sunday's win, Winston-Salem completes a series sweep of the Carolina Mudcats (27-29) after winning the first two games of the series on Saturday.
Cease (7-2) worked six innings in the contest and allowed just one run on one hit, good for his sixth quality start of the season. The right-hander struck out five and walked two. He now leads the Carolina League with seven wins.
In the top of the second inning, the Mudcats took an early 1-0 lead when Ronnie Gideon led off the inning with a solo home run, one of two hits on the day for Carolina.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, the Rayados added an insurance run. Basabe reached on an infield single and promptly stole second. On the very next pitch, Basabe took off for third, swiping the bag cleanly and coming home to score when Mudcats catcher Max McDowell's throw sailed into left field.
