INDIANAPOLIS - Indy's biggest sports stars take the field for a cause on Thursday, June 7 for the 10th Annual Caroline Symmes Memorial Celebrity Softball Challenge. The event benefits Indiana Children's Wish Fund, with Indy celebrities taking over Victory Field to raise funds to help Indiana Children's Wish Fund grant wishes to Indiana children, ages 3 -18, who suffer from life-threatening illnesses.
Headlining this year's Celebrity Softball Challenge are Indianapolis Colts legend Robert Mathis and Indiana Pacers big man Myles Turner. They'll be joined by additional stars from the Pacers and Colts, plus headliners from around Indy's sports scene.
First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m., with the Victory Field gates open at 5:30 p.m.
The Celebrity Softball Challenge is in memory of Caroline Symmes, a Wish child who was involved with the inaugural event and passed away in December 2009.
Tickets are $10 and available to purchase today. Children 3 and under are free. Tickets for groups of 25 or more are only $7 each. To purchase, call the Victory Field Box Office (317-269-3545) or visit IndyIndians.com/celebritysoftball.
