Peoria, IL- Stephen Piscotty doubled and stole a base in his final rehab start for the Peoria Chiefs, but Peoria lost to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 3-1 on Sunday night. The Chiefs fall to 20-16 in the second half and 50-55 overall with the third game of the four-game series set to be played at noon on Monday.
Piscotty collected a hit in his final rehab start with Peoria during the third inning. The right fielder smoked the first pitch he saw down the left field line for a one-out double against Timber Rattlers starter Victor Diaz. With two outs, Piscotty stole third but was stranded there with Ryan McCarvel flying out to center field to end the inning.

Wisconsin took the first lead of the game in the fifth inning against Chiefs starter Evan Kruczynski. Weston Wilson led off with an infield single and scored when Mario Feliciano sent a home run to left field, giving the Timber Rattlers a 2-0 advantage. Kruczynski got Ronnie Gideon to line out, but was lifted with Colton Thompson replacing him on the mound. Thompson allowed a hit and a walk before getting Trever Morrison to ground into an inning-ending double play to end the threat.
The Chiefs halved the deficit in the seventh against Rattlers reliever Jordan Desguin. Dylan Carlson led off with a bunt-single and went to second when Matt Fiedler was hit by a pitch. With two outs, Nick Plummer singled to center field to score Carlson and move Fiedler to third while making it a 2-1 game. With the tying run on third and the go-ahead run on first, Desguin struck out Piscotty to end the inning.
The Timber Rattlers added an insurance run against Bryan Dobzanski in the ninth. With two outs Keston Hiura singled to right and Wilson hit a ball into the left-field corner. Hiura scored to give Wisconsin a 3-1 lead, but Wilson was thrown out trying to get to third to end the inning.
Kruczynski (1-2) worked 5 1/3 innings in the loss, allowing two runs on seven hits with three strikeouts. Thomson pitch 1 2/3 scoreless innings while holding Wisconsin to two hits and a walk with two strikeouts. Bryan Dobzanski hurled two innings, allowing one run on three hits with a strikeout.
