The El Paso Chihuahuas put the tying and winning runs on base in the bottom of the ninth inning Tuesday night but lost to the Salt Lake Bees 4-3. The loss ended El Paso's three-game winning streak.

El Paso third baseman Gage Workman went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in his first game with the team. Right fielder Nick Solak went 1-for-4 and has hits in 11 of his last 12 games. JP Sears struck out five batters in three innings in his first start with El Paso since being optioned by San Diego. Andrew Thurman struck out three in three relief innings for the Chihuahuas.

Former Chihuahua Pablo Reyes reached four times, going 3-for-3 with a double, triple and a walk. The Chihuahuas struck out 14 Bees batters, two shy of El Paso's season high for strikeouts in a game. El Paso had been 40-6 when leading after eight innings before Tuesday's loss.
