The Oklahoma City Comets shut out the El Paso Chihuahuas 12-0 Wednesday afternoon in a win that clinched the Pacific Coast League's second half title for Oklahoma City. The Comets will meet Las Vegas in the PCL Championship Series next week. The Chihuahuas and Comets have split the first two games of the series.

The Chihuahuas turned a 3-6 triple play in the top of the fourth inning. It was the first triple play turned by the Chihuahuas in their 1,760 games all-time and it was the first triple play turned against Oklahoma City since 2017. El Paso starting pitcher Jagger Haynes allowed only one run in six innings, giving the Chihuahuas their second consecutive quality start after Ian Koenig's on Tuesday night. It was the sixth quality start by an El Paso pitcher this season.

Oklahoma City starter Jackson Ferris pitched a season-high 7.2 innings and struck out a career-high 13 batters. The Chihuahuas didn't have a baserunner until Miguel Andujar's infield single with one out in the bottom of the seventh. Andujar went 2-for-4 with both of El Paso's hits in his seventh MLB Injury Rehab game.
