The Snappers lost the season finale with the LumberKings 4-2 to split the weekend series and the season series at 10 wins each. Clinton's Billy Cooke hit the tiebreaker in the top of the ninth that gave the LumberKings the lead before they picked up an insurance run on a wild pitch by Snappers reliever Sam Sheehan.
Beloit tied the game with two outs in each the first and fifth innings. The Snappers RBI leader, Kyle Nowlin, knotted the game at 1-1 with two outs in the bottom of the first with a double, his 21st, that scored Edwin Diaz all the way from first base. The bases were empty when JaVon Shelby hit a double with two outs in the fifth and Josh Vidales singled him home to tie the game again 2-2.
Zack Erwin five innings in a no-decision and struck out six LumberKings. Clinton grabbed the lead twice off Erwin, a solo homer in the first inning by Yojhan Quevedo and an RBI double from Nick Zammarelli III in the third. Joe Camacho logged three scoreless innings and fanned four batters. Sheehan struck out one as the Snappers pitching staff ran up their strikeout total to 11 on the afternoon.
