FRISCO, Texas (May 8, 2018) - Hunter Cole hit a pair of homers and starter Wes Benjamin logged six shutout innings to guide the Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, past the Midland RockHounds 3-0 Tuesday afternoon at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
BIG MOMENTS
* Cole got the Riders on the board with a solo home run to lead off the sixth inning. He added a second long ball in the bottom of the eighth to increase the lead to 3-0.
* Benjamin turned in six scoreless innings, allowing just three hits. He never allowed more than one runner to reach in any one inning, as he picked up his first win of the year.
* Relievers Reed Garrett , Johnny Fasola and Brady Feigl each spun a scoreless inning of relief to cap the Riders first shutout win of the season.

* Cole's multi-homer game was the third of his career and first since the final game of last season.
* Riders pitchers dealt 17 consecutive scoreless innings to finish the series vs. Midland after allowing a six-run first inning Monday against the RockHounds.
* Frisco relievers extended their scoreless streak to 26 innings with three scoreless frames Tuesday.
* Reliever Brady Feigl still hasn't allowed a run this season (15 1/3 innings).
