D-Braves To Host Burlington, Kingsport for Six

Promotions include Community-Wide Birthday party and Lee Landers Bobblehead giveaway

DANVILLE, Va. - The Danville Braves will open a six-game homestand from August 6-11 against the Burlington Royals and Kingsport Mets at Legion Field with all games beginning at 7 p.m.

DANVILLE, Va. - The Danville Braves will open a six-game homestand from August 6-11 against the Burlington Royals and Kingsport Mets at Legion Field with all games beginning at 7 p.m.

On Monday, August 6 the D-Braves will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a Community-Wide Birthday party and Dollar Monday. Fans born in the year 1993 can enjoy free admission to the game with proper identification, presented by Lebleu Water. The Braves will also offer popcorn, hot dogs and souvenir sodas for just $1.
Danville will host another $2 Tuesday on August 7. Fans are allowed to purchase $2 general admission tickets, tallboys, hot dogs, corn dogs and French fries.
Wednesday, August 8 marks a Kids Free Wednesday. All kids 12 and under are eligible to receive a free ticket with a paid adult admission.
The D-Braves will honor first responders on its August 9 game in addition to its weekly Thirsty Thursday promotion. In effort to express its appreciation to the Danville area first responders, the D-Braves will offer a free general admission ticket to all first responders with identification. In addition, all fans can receive discounts on draft and fountain beverages, courtesy of Buffalo Wild Wings.
On Friday, August 10, the Braves will host its Lee Landers Bobblehead giveaway and Faith Night. To celebrate the contributions of long-time Appalachian League President Lee Landers, the D-Braves will give away 300 bobbleheads to the first 300 fans in attendance. The bobbleheads are one person per ticket. Furthermore, church and faith-based groups can receive special group rates on tickets.
Danville will close out its homestand with a commemoration to the Danville 97s 20th anniversary in addition to its annual Cancer Awareness night, all sponsored by Centra Health. The Braves cordially invite fans to celebrate the weird year in the city's history where it hosted two minor league teams. The Danville 97s (High-A) played one season in Danville in 1998. The team will celebrate the year with specialty jerseys and caps. The Braves will also have events on the concourse to represent and raise awareness for all types of cancer.
