HELENA, MT - Helena Brewers infielder Dallas Carroll has been named the Pioneer League Player of the Week for the week of July 17 through July 23.
Over the course of five games, the 23-year-old Carroll slashed .450/.560/.850, going 9-for-20 with two doubles, two home runs and six RBI. He also stole three bases in four attempts and struck out just twice. 
The highlight of Carroll's week came on Thursday, June 20 against Idaho Falls, when he went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, three RBI, a walk and two stolen bases. Carroll was the driving force in a 7-4 Brewers win over the Chukars. The Taylorsville, UT native is currently ninth in the Pioneer League in overall batting average, hitting .343, and has hit safely in 20 of his 26 games as a professional.
Carroll was selected in the ninth round of the 2017 MLB Amateur Draft out of the University of Utah. While with the Utes in 2017, Carroll hit .369 with 17 doubles, seven home runs and 52 RBI. He was named a 2017 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-American and earned First Team All-Pac-12 honors in 2016 and 2017.
This is the first time Carroll has been named Player of the Week and the third time a Brewers player has earned the honor this season. Michael Petersen was named Pitcher of the Week from June 19 through 25 and Zach Clark was named Player of the Week from June 26 through July 2.
