WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Aug. 3, 2018) - In conjunction with hosting their first playoff game in a quest for a Carolina League championship, the Winston-Salem Dash will hold a Food Truck Festival at BB&T Ballpark on Friday, September 7.

Gates open at 5 p.m. The participating Food Trucks include Twin City Mini's, Spice Delight, Flite Time Wings, Camel City, Heights Dominican, Qspresso, Boone Doggies Hot Dogs and Kona Ice. Local band Sticks & Steel will perform on the left-field patio near the Foothills Brewpen from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. First pitch for the Dash game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tickets are good for the game and Food Truck Festival, and they start at just $5 in advance. The Dash are having a banner year on the field. Thanks to a league-best 84-54 overall record, Winston-Salem won the first-half and second-half Southern Division titles, marking the third time in the Dash era (2009-present) that the club has won both halves.
Led by first-year manager Omar Vizquel, who was a three-time All-Star and 11-time Gold Glove winner during his 24-year big league career, the Dash's .609 winning percentage was fourth-best in Minor League Baseball.
Winston-Salem currently boasts nine of the top prospects in the White Sox system per MLB Pipeline on its active roster, including infielders Nick Madrigal (No. 4), Gavin Sheets (No. 15) and Laz Rivera (No. 28), outfielders Luis Robert (No. 3), Blake Rutherford (No. 7) and Luis González (No. 14), and right-handers Alec Hansen (No. 10), Tyler Johnson (No. 23) and Lincoln Henzman (No. 30).
