Durham, NC --- Logan Davidson belted a two-run, game-winning home run in the seventh inning to lead the Durham Bulls to a doubleheader split with Gwinnett on Saturday night at the DBAP.

Davidson drilled his 9th homer with two outs in the seventh against Joel Payamps (L, 4-2) for the winner. Blake Sabol singled with two outs to give Davidson his moment.

Michael Grove (W, 1-1) recorded the win with a scoreless seventh inning in which he worked through a second and third, one out jam. Michael Forret worked six solid innings, permitting two runs against no walks.

The Bulls (21-10) took a 2-0 lead in the fourth after Tre Morgan homered to start the inning, then an infield single by Austin Slater brought home Carson Williams. Gwinnett (17-15) tied the game against Forret in the fifth. Forret did not allow a hit in the first four innings.

In the opener, Gwinnett established a 1-0 lead in the second when starting pitcher Trevor Martin (L, 3-1) balked home Rowdy Tellez from third base. The Stripers scored another run in the second, then four in the third against reliever Chase Solesky and eventually pulled away 8-0.

Durham collected just two hits in the loss. Jacob Melton singled in the first before Tre Morgan's single in the sixth.

Brock Burkhalter (W, 2-0) threw 2 1/3 innings of shutout relief to register the win.

Sunday's 5:05 PM ET game will be the rubber game of the unusual seven-game series. Joe Boyle is expected to start for Durham.
