ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists exploded at McCormick Field for the second straight night at the expense of the West Virginia Power. Asheville earned their largest win of the season one day after defeating West Virginia by 13 runs. On Saturday night the final score was 16-1.
Asheville manufactured a pair of runs in the third inning to take a 2-0 lead.
The Tourists blew the game open over the next three frames. Edgeworth hit a two-run Home Run in the sixth and added another two-run Homer in the eighth.
Asheville finished with a season-high 19 hits.
The Tourists will attempt to win their third consecutive series with the finale scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 2:05pm. Asheville currently has a two games to one advantage in the series.
