SALEM, Virginia (May 22, 2019) - Enmanuel DeJesus tossed six shutout innings and Marcus Wilson led the Sox bats with four RBI as Salem shutout the Wilmington Blue Rocks for the first time this season 7-0 Wednesday night at Haley Toyota Field.

How it Happened
* Jarren Duran and Nick Lovullo kick-started the first inning with consecutive first-pitch singles, Ryan Fitzgerald connected for a base hit to score Duran and take an early lead. Pedro Castellanos was hit by a pitch to load the bases before sacrifice flies from Garrett Benge and Marcus Wilson crossed two more for a 3-0 Salem lead. 
* Castellanos blasted his first home run of the season out to left field to extend Salem 4-0 over Wilmington.
* DeJesus finished with six innings of two-hit ball, the southpaw struck out six Blue Rocks along the way.
* Wilson struck again in the sixth and eight innings with an RBI single and 2-RBI double for Salem's final 7-0 blanking.
* Robbie Baker and Andrew Politi combined for three innings of one-hit ball and struck out three.

* Jarren Duran's single in the first extended his hit streak to 14 games. The 70-grade speedster also swiped his 15th bag of the season.
* Marcus Wilson's 4 RBI-night ties his second-best record. The outfielder has driven in 4 runs twice in 2017 and once in 2014. His record is 6, set on April 15, 2017.
* DeJesus' performance marks his first shutout as a starter in Salem uniform.
* Andrew Politi has been unhittable. The righty reliever has amassed five innings of no-hit ball and six strikeouts in his last three appearances.
